Tayuman National High School is renamed into Jacinto G. Esplana National High School in honor of the donor of the homeland of the school, the late Jacinto Garcia Esplana – husband of Barangay Councilor Nieves Alva-Esplana.
The renaming was made possible after the formal signing of the Deed of Donation and the Extra-Judicial Partition by the family of the donor early in October, last year and after the resolution endorsed by the Sangguniang Barangay Captain and Ex-Officio Member to the Sangguniang Bayan Hon. Leonardo P. Garcia.
The initiative of securing documents for ownership was according to the advice of the Education Program Supervisor and DepEd Division Coordinator for Legal Matters, Mr. Fernando Seno who visited the school and held a closed door meeting with the family of the donor and the Principal, Mr. Rene L. Portades. According to the EPS, the new name shall be used therein after and shall be recognized as another renamed school in the Department of Education.
It is indeed our pride that there is one school in the Philippines that is named after a Tayumanin in the name of Jacinto G. Esplana – truly a noble man with big heart for education.
